SYLLABLES

OF

RITUAL

Co-presented by Queensland Poetry Festival and Peril magazine in 2017 Syllables of Ritual interrogates structures of belief, and the complexities of intergenerational practices.

Syllables of Ritual is a performance work constructed through a poetic exploration of the gestures and language of worship. Beginning with the performer's disparate traditions in Indian and European-Australian heritage, this piece expands to consider the experience of worship and its cumulative poignancy in contemporary Australia.
