"mesmerising...exploring the connection, contradiction, and complications of cultural heritage and inherited forms of worship, and the performers’ contemporary longings for and rebellions against both. The spoken poetry was laden with rich images of past and present, while the repetitive, meditative steps were hypnotic"

-Damien Vincenzi, Indian Link

Presented by the National Institue of Dramatic Arts in association with Multicultural Arts Victoria, Resonant Lines featured Luna Mrozik Gawler and Nithya Iyer performing Syllables of Ritual (First performed at the Queensland Poetry Festival 2017) as accompanied by images by artist Devika Bilimoria.

The Triple-bill presented an eclectic collection of aural, visual and poetic explorations of ritual as drawn from the intersecting vectors of identity and connection of the artists.

Also featuring Out of Auto, sound work by Sudeep Lingamneni & Andrew McLaughlin and performative sound work Tincture by Aarti Jadu, Resonant Lines culminated in a brief collaborative performance work by all six artists.
